Dr. Martijn Malessy is a Professor of Nerve Surgery and founder of the Nerve Center at the Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands. He has a vast experience in the surgical treatment of complex nerve tumors and cerebellopontine-angle tumors. Additionally, he specialized in the treatment of complex nerve lesions and entrapment syndromes, and neuropathic pain due to a nerve lesion. He was the 2016-2017 President of the American Society for Peripheral Nerve and he is a member of the Peripheral Nerve Surgery Committee of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.
