Martha A. Roberts is an Assistant Professor and lead of the Pediatrics department for Samuel Merritt School of Nursing in Sacramento, California. She is also an adult and pediatric nurse practitioner at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center in the emergency department. She is the host of The Center for Medical Education’s EM Bootcamps, and The 2 View Podcast, and teaches nationally. Additionally, she remains adjunct faculty for Georgetown University School of Nursing. Her specialty focuses on emergency and critical care populations.

Martha Roberts is an emergency department NP with over 15+ years of emergency nursing and teaching experience. Martha wrote about procedures and offered editorials for Emergency Medicine News for almost a decade and served on their editorial board. The original procedure blog, called The Procedural Pause, is still available on EM-News. Columns, videos, and cases are still available and archived on the site. Martha got her start as a member of the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine.

She received a BA in environmental science and audio technology from American University, a BSN in Nursing from Georgetown University, and an MS in Nursing / ACNP from Georgetown University. In addition, she completed two other master’s programs for pediatric acute, critical, and primary care from The Catholic University of America and is a triple board-certified nurse practitioner.
