Marten Nijziel MD, PhD

During the medical studies in Utrecht, dr. MR (Marten) Nijziel was touched by an internship in the hematology department in the academic hospital, where the patients with benign and malignant blood diseases were treated. Since then, his further education at Catharina Hospital and Academic Hospital Maastricht have always been dominated by hematology and oncology. After completing his education in 2002, He worked for more than 13 years as an internist hematologist in the Maxima Medical Center and then for 2 years as head of benign hematology and intended professor in Radboudumc. In October 2017 He was allowed to return to the Catharina Hospital at the Catharina Kanker Institute.
