Dr. Marsha Gordon is Professor and Vice Chairman of Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she has worked since 1988. From 1998 to 2002, she served as both Clinical Director of the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai and also Director of the Residency Program, and later served as Co-Director of the Residency Program from 2002 to 2006. Other posts she has held during her career at Mount Sinai include membership in the Executive Committee of the Department of Dermatology, member of the Dermatology Residency Selection Committee.

She is a Faculty Practice Assembly member and Chairperson of the Dermatology Quality Assurance Committee. From 1999-2003 she served on the Melanoma/Skin Cancer Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology. From 1988 until 2015, Dr. Gordon was Chief Consultant for the Department, responsible for the Inpatient Dermatology Consult Service. In 2015, following Mount Sinai's merger with several other New York hospitals, including St. Luke's, Roosevelt and Beth Israel, Dr. Gordon stepped down from her post as Chief Consultant in order to focus time and energy on improving the patient experience.
