Marouane Boukhris MD, FESC

Dr. Boukhris is an interventional cardiologist specialized in chronic total occlusions (CTO), complex and high-risk PCI at the Cardiology Department of Bona Dea International Hospital, Baku, Azerbaijan.

After obtaining his MD degree and specialist diploma in Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis, University of Tunis El Manar (Tunisia), he pursued further training with a hands-on fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Cannizzaro Hospital, University of Catania (Italy) under the supervision of Prof Alfredo R. Galassi (founder member and past president of the EuroCTO Club). In 2017, Dr. Boukhris has become Assistant Professor in Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis, University of Tunis El Manar (Tunisia).

He routinely performs chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI, left main stenting, complex bifurcation stenting, bypass graft PCI, intravascular imaging (IVUS, OCT), FFR and rotational atherectomy. In addition to interventional activity, Dr. Boukhris is also involved in clinical visits, transthoracic echocardiography, Holter ECG and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
