Marla R. Lander MD

Dr. Marla Lander is a diagnostic radiologist at The Desert Comprehensive Breast Center, which is located in the Comprehensive Cancer Center. A Diplomat of the National Board of Radiology, she has more than 15 years’ experience as a specialist in breast imaging. She has practiced in the desert area since 1997 was named a Top Doctor by her peers in a survey published by Palm Springs Life magazine in July 2013. She teaches physicians of varying specialties and technologists throughout the country and in Canada, about 3-D Ultrasound, its importance, and how to interpret findings.

Prior to joining The Desert Comprehensive Breast Center in 2011, Dr. Lander was medical director of a breast health center for many years, and was the Chief Medical Officer of a national women’s health organization. She has given numerous talks to the public as well as colleagues, on breast imaging, diagnosis, treatment of cancers, methods of biopsy, new techniques in the breast field, bone density testing, osteoporosis, and how to minimize one’s risk of breast cancer and osteoporosis.
