Marla Eby PhD

Dr. Marla Eby is a Associate Director of Psychology and Psychology Training, Director of Postdoctoral Training in Psychology Cambridge Health Alliance; Assistant Professor of Psychology, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Marla Eby received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University and completed her internship at The Cambridge Hospital (now part of Cambridge Health Alliance). She has worked in a variety of positions since 1988, including Chief Psychologist on both adult and child inpatient units, and Associate Director of Psychology. Dr. Eby also serves the Psychology Division as Director of Post-Doctoral Training and the Psychiatry Department as Director of Supervision. She is currently on the Board of APPIC. Dr. Eby has a longstanding interest in psychological assessment and teaches courses related to testing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at Harvard University. Other major interests include long-term treatment of psychotic patients, issues of envy and jealousy, the history of the asylum, and presentation of psychological themes in museum exhibits. She also has a strong commitment to the care of the severely mentally ill, particularly in the public sector.
