Markus Schwerzmann MD

Markus Schwerzmann is a clinician-scientist at the University Hospital Inselspital in Bern, Switzerland. He trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in Switzerland, followed by a fellowship in Adult Congenital Heart Disease at the Toronto Congenital Cardiac Centre for Adults (UHN/Toronto General Hospital). He is currently directing the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Unit at the Center for Congenital Heart Disease in Bern. The center was founded in 2012 with the vision to offer comprehensive continuous care to all patients with congenital heart disease, independent of their age. In addition, he is also co-director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at the University Hospital Inselspital.
