Dr. Mark Tulchinsky is a Professor of radiology and medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine. He has practiced and taught Nuclear Medicine at premier academic institutions since 1989, achieving the rank of Tenured Professor of Radiology and Medicine.
His clinical practice includes general diagnostic tests (bone scans, myocardial perfusion imaging, etc.), molecular imaging (PET/CT), and therapeutic procedures (radioiodine therapy of thyroid diseases, Y-90 SIR-Spheres for liver metastasis, etc.). He regularly organizes scientific sessions and lectures at National specialty meetings. He has extensively published in peer-reviewed Journals.
His academic outreach is realized through active membership in the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, where he served in various leadership positions, including a 2-year term as the President of the General Nuclear Medicine Council (2010-2012). His specialty advocacy is pursued through active membership in the American College of Nuclear Medicine.
