Mark Ogino, MD, has been appointed Chief, Division of Neonatology at the Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children. He comes to Nemours from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where he was an attending neonatologist and Director of CHOP Newborn Care at the Chester County Hospital. A graduate of UCLA and the University of California — San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Dr. Ogino served his pediatric residency and chief residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and his neonatal-perinatal fellowship at UCSD. He also completed a research fellowship in infectious diseases at UCSD.

Prior to joining CHOP, Dr. Ogino served as the director of neonatology for Kaiser-Permanente and the director of the Hanuola ECMO program in Hawaii. He is board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine. Listed among “America’s Top Pediatricians” and “America’s Best Doctors,” he is the Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Ogino actively publishes and lectures, most extensively on topics surrounding ECMO. He looks forward to enhancing the ECMO and simulations programs at Nemours as well as the academic and research interests of the division.
