Mark Sawdon is a practicing Paramedic for King County Medic One in the Seattle, Washington area and has over 20 years of experience in Fire and EMS. Starting as a volunteer firefighter, he discovered a passion for trying to make a difference in people’s lives and has been working full-time in EMS since 2004. Mark attended Paramedic Training in 2005-2006 at Harborview Medical Center through the University of Washington School of Medicine and has been a practicing Mobile Intensive Care Unit Paramedic since. He has been married for 17 years and has two teenage sons.

He is an American Heart Association ACLS and PALS instructor, as well as an adjunct faculty member at Everett Community College. He is the owner of Emergency Medical Education and Consulting LLC and the creator of the CPR Command System TM. Mark routinely teaches American Heart Association recertification courses and provides resuscitation training to local hospitals and fire departments as well as consulting with these groups to help them develop and implement both in and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest response plans.
