Dr. Mark Adams attended Duke University as an undergraduate, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History while pursing his premedical education studies. His medical degree was subsequently obtained at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center. He trained in Orthopaedic Surgery as a resident at UMDNJ – NJMS, where he was elected Administrative Chief Resident, and received the Alfred F. Behrens Award and the Outstanding Resident Educator Award.

Dr. Adams pursed subspecialty training in Orthopaedic Traumatology. He joined the University of Washington Department of Orthopaedics faculty at the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, the level one trauma center for Alaska, Montana, Idaho, and Washington State. Here his training focused on periarticular, pelvis and acetabular fractures, nonunions and malunions, as well as lower extremity reconstruction.

As an Orthopaedic Traumatologist, Dr. Adams’ clinical interests include complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities, complications, and post-traumatic reconstruction. He serves as an Assistant Professor in the Trauma Division in the Department of Orthopaedics
