Mark Metzke PhD, BA

Mark A. Metzke has been an intellectual property attorney at Knobbe Martens since 2011. He has a client practice with a focus on patent prosecution and strategic portfolio management in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological fields. Prior to joining the firm, Mark worked as a scientist at the Hitachi Chemical Research Center, where he performed research in the area of synthetic biomaterials. Mark earned his Ph.D. from at the University of California, Irvine, researching synthetic gene delivery vectors and biomaterials. He earned his J.D. from UCLA Law, where he focused on intellectual property law and was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Technology.
