Mark J. Field FRSB, FISCT

Dr. Mark J. Field Neuroscientist with 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry developing new pain medicines. His focus has been on helping patients with chronic pain by identifying novel analgesics during a career working at large and mid-size companies including MSD, Parke-Davis, Pfizer, UCB, and Grunenthal. He is a senior executive and a pioneer Translational Scientist with experience spanning both preclinical research and clinical development. He has senior leadership experience at the corporate level as Head of R&D Pain innovation with responsibility for; Strategy, people (~200) & budget (~€150M) to drive projects from research to clinical Phase III. Mark's research has contributed to over 30 compounds moving from research ideas into projects entering clinical development and helped develop the novel blockbuster analgesic Pregabalin.
