Mark Hurle PhD

Dr. Mark Hurle is in the Systematic Drug Repositioning group in Computational Biology at GSK. The group systematically integrates genomic, chemical and textual datasets, leveraging this information with our institutional knowledge of drugs and diseases into a set of testable and viable drug-disease hypotheses. Dr. Hurle has been with GSK for 25 years, the majority in bioinformatics-related fields, following his education at M.I.T, PennState, UCSF and Genentech. He has extensive experience in analysis of protein structure and gene expression data, and is constantly intrigued by the new possibilities each new datatype brings.
