Dr. Simms is board certified in Pediatrics and in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. He is Professor and Chief of Child Development in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Medical Director of the Child Development Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Prior to coming to Milwaukee in 1994, Dr. Simms was on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Cincinnati, Yale University, and the University of Connecticut. He has a Master degree in Public Health and extensive experience working in international settings, including Brazil and China. Dr. Simms and his excellent team of psychologists, speech language pathologists, and pediatric nurse practitioners provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care to infants, children, adolescents and their families with a wide range of developmental disabilities including language disorders, learning disabilities, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and cognitive impairments.
