Dr. Mark Cheng is a respected expert in human movement, pain management, and performance optimization who bridges traditional healing arts with modern biomechanics and sports science. As a lifelong student of both martial and medical sciences, he has traveled extensively and dedicated decades to understanding how the body works and how it moves best — pain-free, efficient, and sustainable.
He holds advanced medical degrees, including a Ph.D. in Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and is a licensed acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. His clinical and rehabilitative work integrates Eastern manual therapies such as Tui-Na with Western corrective exercise, Functional Movement Systems (FMS), kettlebell methods (RKC/StrongFirst), and suspension training principles to help people of all ages and activity levels overcome pain and improve mobility and performance.
Dr. Cheng has served athletes ranging from Olympians to elite professionals, alongside everyday clients, and often appears in media, lectures, and online platforms discussing prehab, rehab, and optimal movement strategies. He is also the creator of movement programs, such as Tai Cheng, which adapts traditional tai chi into accessible training that emphasizes strength, balance, and longevity. Known for blending ancient wisdom with evidence-informed practice, Dr. Cheng continues to teach, consult, and develop resources designed to empower others to move better, feel better, and live better.
