Dr. Marjory Jolicoeur had her medical degree along with a Ph.D. in Molecular biology and completed her radiation oncology residency at the University of Montreal in 1996. she completed a brachytherapy fellowship at the Centre Georges-Francois Leclerc located in Dijon France. In 1997 she started working at the Department of Radiation Oncology of the University of Montreal, where she still holds a position as a professor. In 1999 she was appointed to the planning and construction of the new Department of Radiation Oncology of Hospital Charles LeMoyne. The facility, which started its activities in 2011, has a comprehensive image-guided brachytherapy program.
In 2011 she founded “Curietherapies”. As a brachytherapy specialist, she has special research interests in the application of brachytherapy in areas such as breast, genitourinary, and gynecologic cancers. Her main focus is on the development of image-guided implant procedures, the use of MRI in brachytherapy, and the precision delivery of conformal high-dose-rate brachytherapy.
