Marjorie L. King, MD, MAACVPR, FACC, has been appointed Chief Medical Officer at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, according to Edmund J. Coletti, Chief Executive Officer. A graduate of Dickinson College, Dr. King received her medical degree from the MS Hershey Medical Center, Pennsylvania State University. She completed an internship, residency and fellowship in internal medicine and cardiology at New York University, Manhattan Veterans Administration Medical Center and is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology.
Dr. King joined Helen Hayes Hospital in 1984 as Director of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services. Extending the inpatient continuum of care, she implemented Outpatient Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs, along with a cardiac, peripheral artery disease and pulmonary Wellness Program. Dr. King has served as Chair of the Hospital’s Patient Safety Committee and Institutional Review Board. In addition, she is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
