Marion Russell BSc(Hons), RN

Marion retired from the NHS after 46 years’ service in many areas, the last 10 being in Medicines Management at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She has worked in both the secondary and independent sector and held senior positions in the adult setting.

From 2003 she was employed at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust as the Clinical Development Nurse: Medicines Management. In this role she developed learning programmes for nurse/midwives and Allied Health Professionals relating to medicines management, writing and monitoring the development of patient group directions and supporting the nurses in non-medical prescribing as the Non Medical Prescribing Lead.

She was the chair of the Non Medical Prescribing Forum which represents the former South East London Workforce Development Confederation and has been involved in the development of the CPD programme for non-medical prescribers.
