Marina Shirmanova PhD

Marina V. Shirmanova is currently working as a Deputy Director for Research at the Research Institute of Experimental Oncology and Biomedical Technologies of Privolzhsky Medical Research University. Since 2013, she has been heading the Laboratory of Individual Cancer Chemotherapy at the same Research Institute. Marina is the author of more than 90 research papers and 7 patents. Her scientific interests include research of oncological processes at different levels - from subcellular to the whole tumor - by non-invasive methods of fluorescent and phosphorescent bioimaging. Her research in recent years was focused on studying early responses and mechanisms of tumor resistance to therapy.
