Marina Sandoval MD, PhD

Dr. Marina Sandoval is 1 of The Dermatology Group's 2 dermatopathologists serving our New Jersey patients. All of our providers confer with our "dermpath" team to deliver accurate and timely test results. Dr. Sandoval graduated from Jundiai Medical School in Brazil with a medical degree and then continued on to earn a Ph.D. in dermatopathology at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She completed her pathology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, and a fellowship in surgical pathology at the University of Southern California, also in Los Angeles. She then completed a second fellowship, in dermatopathology, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Dr. Sandoval is widely published in several pathology topics and has won 2 prestigious awards for her outstanding teaching, in both dermatology and pathology
