Marilyn Stebbins's clinical work has focused on developing innovative pharmacy practice models in the physician group practice setting, primarily for under-served populations. her teaching has been in the areas of Medicare Part D, geriatrics, innovative practice models, health policy, health insurance, and drug pricing. As the vice-chair of clinical innovation, her goal is to extend her clinical work to develop innovative team-based practice models in other ambulatory and community pharmacy settings.
Presently, her research focus is in transitions of pharmacy care from the acute and post-acute setting back into the community with an emphasis on an accurate medication list through these transitions of care, interprofessional teaching and learning models, and specialty pharmacy.
