Since 2013 I work as a medical oncologist at the Department of Medical Oncology at the VUmc Cancer Center Amsterdam (VUmc CCA). The treatment of patients with melanoma is my interest in medical oncology which I exercise in general. I try to guide my patients as much as possible by giving clear explanations , to show commitment, speed when needed and humor whenever possible to deploy .
In recent years, thanks to previous research , many new drugs have become available. Personally I do in the laboratory of our department investigate the mapping of the " protein profile " of the tumor , thereby in the future be able to predict the efficacy of targeted drugs for individual patients. In addition, I coordinate several phase I / II clinical trials , as well as studies of the Center for Personalized Cancer Treatment , which the department participates in medical oncology VUmc CCA . "
