Mariette Boerstoel-streefland MD, MSc, MBA

Mariette Boerstoel-Streefland is a Senior Vice President of Worldwide Patient Safety Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb. Mariette joined the pharmaceutical industry from clinical practice and had a progressive career for 30 years, holding various leadership positions in drug safety and medical affairs at Organon (now Merck), Mayne Pharma (now Hospira), and Forest Labs (now Allergan). A common theme across the various roles has been organizational build or re-design, turnaround management, change management, efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives.

Mariette received her MD degree from the University of Utrecht, her master’s degree in Pharmaco-Epidemiology from McGill University Montreal and the University of Utrecht, and her MBA from New York Institute of Technology/Ellis College.
