Marie-elisabeth Faymonville MD, PhD

Marie-Elisabeth Faymonville, directs since 2004 the Pain Center and supports actively the Equipe Mobile de Soins Palliatifs (Mobile Palliative Care Group) of the University Hospital Liège. While she was director of the anesthesia and resuscitation department at the same hospital, she develops 1992 a new anesthesia technique, the hypnosedation. Since 1994, she teaches this technique in a course at the University of Liège where more than 400 students from 4 European countries have received this education so far.

Dr. Faymonville is teaching different courses at the school of medicine, University of Liège as well as for continuing professional development courses of “Enseignements Européens d’Anesthésie-Réanimation” and for the postgraduate studies in algology.
