Mariam Naqvi MD

Dr. Mariam Naqvi, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She also serves as Medical Student Site Director for the Clerkship in Ob/Gyn and as the Associate Fellowship Director for Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Naqvi earned her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, after which she spent a year as a full-time researcher at UCSF. She completed medical School at UC Irvine, residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Stanford University, and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Naqvi’s research career began in the pharmacogenetics of asthma treatment in underserved and underrepresented communities. Her current clinical and research interests include growth restriction, prenatal diagnosis, and hypertension, and she has over 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals to date. She has a strong interest in teaching and has received multiple accolades in education, including awards from the Gold Humanism Society, Stanford, and Harvard Medical School,s as well as APGO for excellence in resident and student education. She serves on national committees for both ACOG and the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
