Maria Lina Tsoukas MD, PhD

Dr. Maria M. Tsoukas' clinical expertise includes diagnosis and management of patients at high risk for skin cancer, including and not limited to those with chronic immunosuppression or autoimmune diseases, utilizing non-invasive field therapies, and the latest advances in photodynamic therapy. Her clinical interest also involves skin laser therapy for benign and malignant skin conditions as well as non-invasive skin rejuvenation using injectable botulinum toxin and fillers. Her research is focused on photobiology and photodynamic therapy for which she has recently received the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Cutting Edge Research Grant. Dr. Tsoukas joined UI Health, Department of Dermatology, as Associate Head of Education Affairs and Residency Program Director.
