Maria J G T Vehreschild PD

Priv-Doz. Dr. Maria JGT Vehreschild studied human medicine at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin from 2000 to 2006. She completed her last 2 years of studies at the Université Nice Antipolis in Nice, France, the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. Especially during her practical year in Brazil, she was increasingly concerned with infectiological issues. After completing her studies, she completed her doctoral thesis in the Department of Neuroradiology at the Technical University of Munich and completed the diploma course Tropical Medicine at the Bernhard Nocht Institute in Hamburg. Shortly thereafter, she began working as a permanent employee at the Clinical Study Center II for Infectious Diseases of the University of Cologne. In September 2012 she acquired the specialist in internal medicine and was able to habilitate in this subject shortly thereafter. In 2014, she also acquired the further education certificate Infektiologe of the German Society for Infectious Diseases (DGI ). In November 2016, she obtained the specialist title Internal Medicine / Hematology / Oncology and has been working as a senior physician ever since.
