Maria Garzon PhD

Maria Dolores received her B.S. in Pharmacy (2013) and M.S. in Biotechnology (2014) from the University of Granada (Spain). She completed her international Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry (2019) with excellent cum laude at the University of Granada. Her Ph.D. research was focused on the development of new drugs for the treatment of Primary Hyperoxaluria type 1. She was a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Leiden (the Netherlands) and La Laguna (Spain). Maria Dolores joined the Long Lab in 2020 as a postdoctoral fellow, and her project aims to understand the molecular regulation of N-acyl amino acids in the blood.
