Maria Burian MD, MBA

Dr. Burian is a Board-Certified Clinical Pharmacologist by State Chamber of Physicians of Hesse in Germany and American Board of Clinical Pharmacology. She is a life-science professional with over 15 years’ experience in academia and biopharmaceutical R&D. She has a proven record of scientific achievements with relation to Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Medicine, including more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals, scientific poster and plenary speaker presentations, contribution to books, and patents. Dr. Burian is a member of the editorial review board of International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and ECronicon Cardiology. In her current position as Associate Principal Translational Scientists at Grünenthal Innovation Unit Specialty Therapeutics, she is focused on studying the applications of biomarkers in exploratory drug development to shorten clinical development time and improve decision-making process.
