Maria Baquedano PhD

Maria is a Doctor in Pharmacy and a Professor of Nutrition. She is the coordinator of the Human Nutrition and Dietetics Degree, the Nutrition and Health Master's Degree, and the Nutrigenomics and Personalized Nutrition Doctoral Program.

Maria has participated in 54 public call research projects (PI in 35 of them). She is a Guest Editor in "Nutrients", "International Journal of Molecular Sciences" and "Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism", and a member of the Editorial Board of "The British Journal of Nutrition", "Open Nutraceutical Journal" and "Antioxidants". She has experience in project evaluation since she has been a member of ANEP and has been part of Evaluation Commissions of Foreign Agencies.

Maria has published 177 articles in international JCR magazines, 3 books, 35 book chapters, and 7 Food Guides. She is also a co-author of two patents and has supervised 15 Doctoral Theses. She is responsible for the "Nutrition and Obesity" group. He is part of the Committee of Experts that has developed the Plan "Initiatives for healthy eating in Euskadi of the Basque Government. Until 2019, she has 4 six-year research periods and 5 five-year teaching periods. He has participated in two teaching innovation projects, has an invited presentation, is co-author of 3 articles and 6 communications at conferences, and is part of the Structured Teaching Team made up of professors from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing. She is President of the Spanish Nutrition Society (2018-2021).
