Margaret G. O’byrne MD

Dr. O’Byrne is one of the very few vein specialists in the country, and the only one in Southern California Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Vascular Medicine, American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Disease, and is a Registered Vascular Technician (RVT). A Fellow of both The American College of Phlebology and the Society of Vascular Medicine and a member of The American Venous Forum, Dr. O’Byrne completed a fellowship in Vascular Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and completed her Board Certification in Vascular Medicine after completing her Board Certification in Internal Medicine. She was a staff member in the Department of Vascular Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic before relocating to California. She has served as an expert clinical evaluator for the California Medical Board since 2016. Additionally, she has been an Associate Professor of Medicine at UCSD teaching medical students since 2014. Her practice has focused on the treatment of venous disease since 1998.
