Marcos Naoyuki Samano graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (1997), medical residency in General Surgery (1999) and Thoracic Surgery (2001) at the Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP (HC/FMUSP). Ph.D. in Sciences, Discipline of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, FMUSP (2008).
He is currently a Professor Doctor in RTC regimen, at the Department of Cardiopneumology - Discipline of Thoracic Surgery at FMUSP and an assistant physician at the Department of Thoracic Surgery at HC/FMUSP.
He has experience in the area of Medicine, with an emphasis on Thoracic Surgery, acting mainly on the following subjects: lung transplantation, lung neoplasms, video thoracoscopic surgery, and pulmonary edema. Coordinator of the Lung Transplantation Program at the Transplant Center of the Instituto do Coração (InCor) - Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP. Coordinator of the ABTO Lung Transplantation Department - 2015-2017 and 2017-2019 biennial.
