Marco Bandini MD

Dr. Marco Bandini is a Urologist at the Urology Unit of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital directed by Professor Francesco Montorsi. After graduating with honors from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna in 2014, he obtained a specialization in Urology with honors from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. In 2018 he conducted a fellowship in reconstructive urological surgery and pediatric urological surgery in Belgrade (Serbia) at the Sava Perovic Foundation, a well-known reference center at the European level.

In 2019 and 2020 he undertook a fellowship in urethral surgery at the Tuscan surgical center (Arezzo), specializing in the treatment of urethral strictures from congenital, traumatic, and inflammatory causes, also becoming a member of the scientific committee of the center. In 2021 you obtained a fellowship in reconstructive surgery at the Kulkarni Endosurgery Institute in Pune (India), the first world center specializing in urethral and genital reconstructive surgery. Since 2020 he has been a PhD student in molecular medicine at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

Dr. Bandini specializes in reconstructive urological surgery, in the treatment of urethral strictures, genital malformations, and prosthetic surgery for erectile dysfunction. He treats patients with urological malignancies such as penile, bladder, and prostate cancer, as well as genital anomalies such as phimosis, varicocele, hydrocele, urethral meatus stricture, and hypospadias. From the point of view of research activity, in 2017 Dr. Bandini conducted a scientific research fellowship at the prestigious Center de recherche du Center Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CR-CHUM). His research activity continues today at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

In 2019 and 2020 he was twice awarded the prestigious " merit award " by the American Society of Clinical Oncology for his scientific contributions to bladder and penile cancer. Since 2021 he has been a member of the European guidelines on penile cancer of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO). He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in scientific journals. He regularly participates in national and international congresses of the sector.
