Marci Renee Contreras MPAS, PA-C

Marci R. Contreras, MPAS, PA-C is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Education Coordinator in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) at the School of Health Professions at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Ms. Contreras earned her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake majoring in biology and minoring in biotechnology. She graduated from the UTMB PA studies program in 2008. Specializing in neurology, she developed a special interest in headaches and movement disorders. Later as a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine, she worked as a clinician, educator, and in research with a focus in Multiple Sclerosis. Ms. Contreras has been instrumental in educating the public on multiple sclerosis, giving countless presentations nationally to peers, patients, and their families.
