Marcelo Papoti is a Professor at the University of Sao Paulo, at the School of Physical Education and Sport of Ribeirao Preto (EEFERP/USP). He is currently Deputy Director of EEFERP / USP (08/2017 to 07/2021). He was a member of the board of trustees of the Instituto Polo Advanced Health Foundation (FIPASE) (2014 – 2015) and President of the Graduate Committee of EEFERP (2015 – 2016).

Professor and advisor of the Graduate Programs at EEFERP/USP (Physical Education and Sports) and FMRP/USP (Health Sciences Applied to the Locomotor Apparatus). He was an adjunct professor (2008–2009) at the State University of Ponta Grossa – UEPG. Teaching Exercise Physiology and Swimming. Lecturer Professor (2002–2003; acting in two disciplines) and Adjunct Professor (2009–2012 acting in four disciplines) at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho – UNESP, teaching the disciplines: Sports Training Techniques, Training Theory, Work of Completion of Course I, Swimming, and Water Sports. He holds a degree in Full Degree in Physical Education from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1999). He obtained his master's and doctor's degrees in Motricity Sciences from the Sao Paulo State University, Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003 and 2007, respectively). He is the coordinator of the Group of Studies and Research in Physiological Sciences and Exercise (GECIFEX) and has experience in the area of ​​Physical Education working mainly on the following topics: Exercise Physiology, Training, Swimming, and Use of hypoxia as an additional stimulus to training.
