Marcelo Bonecke MD

Marcelo Bonecker is a Full Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, USP-SP. A master's degree in Dental Science (concentration area: Pediatric Dentistry), University of São Paulo (1996) and Doctorate in Dental Sciences (area of concentration: Pediatric Dentistry), University of São Paulo (1999). It was a fellow of the Doctoral Program with Internship Abroad (ESDP) where he attended one year of PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health Dept - University Colege London (1998-1999). He did postdoctoral studies at the Dental Research Institute - University of Witwatersrand- South Africa (2000-2001). Obtained the title of Associate Professor by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, University of São Paulo (2005). He was a member of the Board of the International Association Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD - 2011-2015); Representative of Pediatric Dentistry Area in CFO Specialties Technical Chamber (2010-2012); Scientific Editor and Director of the Magazine APCD (2010-2015); Coordinated the Graduate Program of Dental Science FOUSP (2010/2012 and 2012/2014). He has experience in the field of dentistry with an emphasis on pediatric dentistry, acting on the following topics: pediatric dentistry, decay, erosion, trauma, epidemiology, health promotion. It is currently Assistant Coordinator of Dentistry Area in CAPES; Representative of Teachers in the Coordinating Committee of Dental Sciences Graduate Program FOUSP; Associate Editor of the journal Brazilian Oral Research, Editorial Board Member of the journal International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry and Chairman Alliance for Cavity Free Future. - Brazil section.
