Marcela Alvarez DDS, MSD

Dr. Alvarez specializes in creating beautiful smiles with the proper function. Her areas of expertise are: preventive dentistry, esthetic dentistry, implant rehabilitation, full mouth reconstruction, digital smile design, and sleep apnea. Dr. Alvarez is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association, The Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, the San Antonio District Dental Society, and the Seattle Study Club.

Over the past decade, Dr. Alvarez has devoted her time to supporting the development of oral health in several communities; her true love and passion for dentistry are well-witnessed by her patients. “My love for dentistry runs in the family. I grew up watching my mom, a dentist and was attracted to the fulfilling reward of helping people. This attraction must have been contagious since my two sisters and I all pursued dental careers. My true passion for dentistry is having the opportunity to change people’s lives through their smiles. My goal is to educate my patients about the importance of maintaining good oral health over a lifetime. I love helping people and enjoy going the extra mile for my patients.”

Dr. Alvarez has been married for 14 years to Fernando Perez and they have two boys, ages 3 and 4. In her free time, Dr. Alvarez and her husband enjoy outdoor activities such as tennis and biking and exploring new dining experiences.
