Marc Semper graduated in 1993 from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germany), Center of Dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery (Carolinum). He received a certification in Endodontology and Maxillofacial 2D/3D Imaging and has been in private practice limited to Endodontics and Dental Traumatology since 2007. He has lectured and published nationally and internationally on Endodontics, Dental Traumatology, and Dentomaxillofacial Imaging, in particular, CBCT. Marc Semper was and is involved in the development of various Guidelines, such as the German Guidelines on the use of cone beam computed tomography in dentistry, as well as dental radiology in pediatric dentistry, the Position Statement of the European Society of Endodontology on cone beam computed tomography, the IADT Guidelines on Treatment of Dental Trauma, and contributed to the PIRATE 2020 and PRIDASE 2024 Guidelines.
Among others, he served as a Board Director of the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT), is an International Specialist Member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), Certified Member and former Certified Members Representative at the General Assembly of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), Individual Associate Member of the Special Interest Group in Dental Imaging of the European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics (EFOMP), Member of the German Society of Endodontology and Dental Traumatology (DGET), Member of the German Society of Conservative Dentistry (DGZ), and Member of the German Society for Dental and Oral Medicine (DGZMK). Marc Semper serves as a reviewer/referee for international journals and as an Associate Editor of the Annali di Stomatologia.
