Dr. Marc Schnetzke, German Joint Center Heidelberg, was appointed adjunct professor by the University of Heidelberg.

After studying medicine in Heidelberg and Mannheim, Dr. Schnetzke continued his trauma surgery and orthopedic training at the BG Klinik Ludwigshafen, where he then worked as a senior physician. He is a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery with the additional qualification "Special Trauma Surgery". The focus of his clinical and scientific work is the treatment of injuries and diseases of the shoulder and elbow joints.

dr Schnetzke is the author of more than 80 scientific articles in international journals and of several book articles. In 2018 he habilitated on the topic "Experimental validation of clinical and imaging diagnostics of traumatic elbow instability". He is also the winner of the Elbow Science Prize of the German Association for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (DVSE) in 2017 and 2018.

Since January 1st, 2020, Dr. Schnetzke the shoulder and elbow surgery team at the German Joint Center at the ATOS Clinic in Heidelberg.
