Marc Righini MD

Dr. Marc Righini is studying medicine in Geneva. He graduated in 1994, completing specializations in internal medicine (FMH in 2000) and in angiology-hemostasis (FMH in 2001). He then carries out an internship at the Montpellier and Nimes University Hospital Centers in order to acquire skills in vascular ultrasound. Head of the angiology unit of the HUG since 2012, he is head of the Department of Angiology and Hemostasis in 2015.

His research focuses on venous thromboembolic diseases, including the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. A member of several national and international scholarly societies, he also leads numerous scientific collaborations in Europe and in Canada. Privat-docent in the Department of Internal Medicine of the specialties of the Faculty of Medicine of UNIGE in 2006, he was promoted to the position of assistant professor in 2014, before being appointed full professor in November 2015.
