Marc de Maya, M.D. is a surgeon in the Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1998 and did his residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. A Trauma/Surgical Critical Care fellowship followed at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center from 2003-2005. Dr. De Moya is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.

He is an associate director of Advanced Trauma Operative Mgmt, an attending surgeon in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and medical director of the Trauma and ER surgical nurse practitioner program. He is actively involved in the education of healthcare providers ranging from medical students to residents and nurse practitioners and is involved with the development of an emergency surgery curriculum for nurse practitioners. As a surgeon with the MGH Churchill Surgical Service, he is involved with supervising patient care and resident education.
