Graduation from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi and post-graduation in Orthopaedics from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar, followed by an MCh in Orthopaedics from the University of Dundee, U.K. Dr Wadhwa has undergone the prestigious Ranawat Adult Joint Reconstruction Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, USA with Dr C. S. Ranawat (who operated former Prime Minister Mr A. B. Vajpayee) and super speciality training in joint replacement at the USA, U.K., Australia, Singapore, Paris, Germany and S. Korea, AIIMS Delhi, Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai and several other leading hospitals in India and abroad. Dr Wadhwa is trained for Minimally Invasive and Navigation (computer-based joint replacements ) from Germany, Australia and USA. Dr Wadhwa is responsible for pioneering the concept of mobile bearing high flexion knees, shoulder, finger joint replacements, and computer and CT-based surgeries in North India. He has to his credit more than 40,000 joint replacement surgeries in North India over the last 20 years. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards for his outstanding contribution to the field of orthopaedics and has been honoured with the “Man of the Year” award by the American Biographical Institute, USA, “Rashtriya Rattan Award” and the premier “Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award”. His name also finds mentioned in the “Contemporary World Who’s Who ” list. Recipient of the “Chairman Award" as League Extraordinaire for Max India. He has also received the ‘Best Doctor Award by the senior citizens association, MMJR, Chandigarh. Pioneer in Healthcare by HT and Times of India.
