Manuel Pardo, MD is the Vice Chair for Education at the UCSF Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. For ten years (2009-2019), he served as Program Director of the UCSF Anesthesia Residency. His interests include undergraduate and graduate medical education, medical simulation training, and innovative training pathways in residency programs.

He is a founding member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators. In the past, he has served as Chair of the Academy's Innovations Funding and Scholarship Working Groups. For ten years, He held the Sol Shnider Endowed Chair for Anesthesia Education, one of the matched endowed chairs co-sponsored by the Academy and my department.

He welcomes collaborations in teaching, evaluating, and assessment of clinical skills related to the fields of anesthesiology and critical care medicine, at any level of the trainee.
