Dr. Manuel Murie Fernández (Madrid, 1978) is a prestigious neurologist, currently the medical director of the Neurorehabilitation Unit of the ICOT Ciudad de Telde Hospital, specializing in acquired brain damage, such as stroke.

Dr. Manuel has a degree and doctor of medicine from the University of Navarra with a degree cum laude, a specialist in neurology, and a Fellowship in neurorehabilitation from the University of Western Ontario. He is responsible for the interest group of young neurologists within the World Society for Neurorehabilitation and author of more than 60 national and international publications in the field of neurology and neurorehabilitation.

In recognition of his professional career, he has been included by the Choiseul Institute in the CHOISEUL100 Spain 2017 ranking "The economic leaders of tomorrow", which highlights the 100 young Spanish professionals with proven talent and professional experience demonstrated in years of work and achievement of success. Also in 2017, he published a book entitled 'Old saying never lies', which includes 50 popular sayings analyzed from a neurological point of view. In 2018 he was elected a member of the scientific panel of the neurorehabilitation area of ​​the European Academy of Neurology, at the request of the Spanish Society of Neurology.

In addition, he is head of the neurology service at the Clínica San Miguel in Pamplona and a professor at the Public University of Navarra. He has been the medical director of the Imárcoain Neurological Center for Comprehensive Care (CNAI) (Navarra) and has worked as a neurologist at the Parkwood Hospital of the University of Western Ontario (Canada).
