Manoela Figueiredo Bertozzi Braga MD, FRCPC

Dr. Braga Figueiredo Bertozzi Braga graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil in 1999 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology in Brazil followed by a Master’s degree in Health Science. She then completed a 2-year Research Fellowship with a focus on Diabetes and Metabolic Risk at St. Michael’s Hospital- University of Toronto and after that came to McMaster University as a Clinical Fellow in the Division of Endocrinology. She joined the faculty in 2010 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Dr. Braga Figueiredo Bertozzi Braga is a clinician-educator involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She is also actively involved in the Endocrinology and Metabolism Residency Training Program. Dr. Braga’s clinical practice is at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Hamilton Health Science (McMaster site). Clinical interests include the management of various endocrine disorders and diabetes. Her research interest is mainly on diabetes with a special focus on the application of clinical practice guidelines for the management of diabetes in primary care.
