Dr. Manju Aron is a Professor of Clinical Pathology and Urology and Director of Urologic Pathology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Dr. Aron did her AP residency at the Cleveland Clinic (class of 2011) followed by fellowships in GU pathology and Cytopathology at Cedars Sinai and USC, respectively. She joined USC in 2013 as faculty and has been there since.
Dr. Aron’s research interest includes prostatic carcinoma and urethral carcinoma including its staging and immunohistochemical and molecular characterization of renal and urothelial tumors. She has been part of many national and international collaborations, including the International Society of Urologic Pathology (2014) and Genitourinary Pathology Society (GUPS) (2019) working committees for reporting prostate carcinoma. She has over 100 peer-reviewed publications, has co-authored numerous book chapters including chapters in the 5th edition of the WHO Bluebook on genitourinary tumors, and is on the editorial board of many journals including Modern Pathology. Dr. Aron has presented numerous talks and conducted courses locally, nationally, and internationally.
Dr. Aron is a past president and member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Society of Pathologists and is an education committee member of the California Society of Pathologists and GUPS. At USCAP she serves on the CME subcommittee and is a member of the abstract review board. She is a council member of the Association of Directors of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology (ADASP) and represents ADASP in the RISE committee of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
