Manigandan Subramanyam Thyagarajan MBBS. MD, FRCR

Dr. Manigandan Subramanyam Thyagarajan is a full-time Paediatric radiologist, Initially at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children till 2013 and presently at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, with a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging and ultrasound.

Thyagarajan of the view that given the scarcity of paediatric radiologists in the U.K it is important to network and develop hub and spoke models of paediatric radiology service delivery regionally and nationally. Having worked in two different regions of the U.K has motivated me to work towards more close co-operation and interaction between tertiary Paediatric centres and DGHs. Thyagarajan believe that to overcome the shortage of paediatric radiologists it is important to motivate and inform radiology trainees and medical students about the exciting and bright prospects of paediatric radiology in the U.K.
