Dr Manav Wadhawan did his graduation from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). He completed his post-graduation in Internal Medicine from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi in December 2001. He did his subspecialty training from GB Pant Hospital, Delhi in 2005. He subsequently worked in the Department of Gastroenterology at SGRH, Delhi before joining Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi in 2006. He was founder member of the Liver transplant program in Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.

Dr Manav Wadhawan is currently the Head of Hepatology services at the newly christened FELDI (Fortis Escorts Liver & Digestive Diseases Institute) in Delhi as well as at FMRI (Fortis Memorial Research Institute) at Gurgaon. He is a well-known figure at the national & international level with more than 50 important publications in high index journals. He has a keen interest in Liver Transplant Hepatology.

He has pioneered the HBIG free regimens in liver transplant for HBV related liver disease. Currently, he is on the editorial board of Journal of Clinical & Experimental Hepatology (JCEH). He is also a member of the INASL national task force on Acute Liver Failure, HCV disease in India, HBV Disease in India as well as DILI (drug induced liver disease) task force. His area of interest includes difficult ERCP’s, he has numerous publications on ERCP for post transplant biliary complications.
